Event Information

Now that the major telcos have rolled out 5G wireless services across North America, the big question facing cable is: How will it adapt to this new era? With Comcast, Charter, Altice and other cable operators all deploying and expanding their own wireless services, mobile is rapidly emerging as a major new opportunity and battleground for the industry.

How can cablecos take advantage of 5G technology to play even bigger roles in the mobile market? How can they leverage 5G technology and new Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) and C-band spectrum to compete in the fixed-wireless space? How can they use the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) and other new federal funding programs to extend their broadband reach even further?

In this online workshop, we will focus on the opportunities and challenges that wireless technology and network convergence present for the cable industry and explore the possibilities and pitfalls of the fresh CBRS and C-band spectrum, as well as RDOF and other new federal broadband programs. Leading cable and wireless technologists will examine the new mobile environment, review the latest MSO moves in the market and discuss where the industry is heading.
