Hanna Bogucka received her Ph.D. in 1995 and doctor habilitated in 2006 at the Poznan University of Technology (PUT) and the title of professor of technical sciences in 2014. Since 1988, she has been working at PUT, currently at the Institute of Radiocommunications at the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications as a professor. In the years 2008-2016 she was the Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications. Currently, she is the Director of the Institute of Radiocommunications. Prof. Hanna Bogucka has been the executive editor of the journal „Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies” (publishing house Wiley), and the Editorial Advisory Board member of „Recent Advances in Communications and Networking Technology” (formerly: „Recent Patents on Telecommunications”, Bentham Science Publishers (2011 – 2014). Since 1991 she has belonged to the IEEE, IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Polish Chapter, IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee, IEEE Technical Committee of Green Communications and Computing, IEEE Women in Communications Engineering and IEEE ComSoc Networking Networking Women. Between 2003 and 2006 she was a member of the National Committee of the International Union of Radio Sciences, in the years 2012–14 a member of the IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award Committee, and is currently a vice chair of the Electronics and Telecommunications Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a member of the IEEE Awards Board. Prof. Hanna Bogucka took the position of the Director of the IEEE Communications Society in the EMEA region during the 2014-2015 term and the Chair of the IEEE Radio Communications Committee during the 2015-2016 term. Prof. Hanna Bogucka is a correspondent member of the Polish Academy of Sciences since December 1, 2016. Currently, she serves as Board Member at RIMEDO Labs.
