Agostinho Linhares is Manager of Spectrum, Orbit and Broadcasting at Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency in Brazil). He received his PhD degree in Telecommunications from University of Brasilia (UnB) in 2015 and M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications from University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 2003. He joined Anatel in 2005 and previously to his current position, he worked in the Enforcement Division, Spectrum Engineering Division and in the Advisory of the Board of Directors. Before Anatel, he worked at Petrobras as a Telecommunications Engineer developing projects related to optical communications systems, RF links and IP Networks. He is the Coordinator of the Brazilian Communication Commission for the Radiocommunication Sector (CBC-2), which includes the preparation for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 (WRC-19), participates in ITU-R and ITU-T Study Groups, and he was Head of the Brazilian Delegation in WRC-15. His research interests include sharing and compatibility between radiocommunication systems, human exposure to EMF and spectrum management. Additionally, he is a reviewer of Conferences and Journals on Wireless Communications.
