Sonia is a Senior Principal Analyst at Omdia with over 25 years’ experience in the TMT industry.
Sonia is a TMT public policy and regulatory expert with a strategy, research and consulting background. She examines international trends and market developments, with special focus in Latin America.
She is a frequent speaker at several local and international forums, including Regional Telecommunications Congress (CLT), GSMA 360, Mexican Telecom Forum, 5G and LTE Latam, MVNO Latam Summit, Telecom Regulation Forum, Spectrum Management Forum, ITU, CITEL, European Union Parliament, Asiet, Mercosur, Cepal, ATVC event (Buenos Aires), CRC annual event, Competition Forum (CDMX), Comtelca, Caricam, Conecta, DPL now, among others .
She was responsible for regulatory evolution and strategy for the Telecom Argentina Group. She previously worked as a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen and at Deloitte.
Sonia has an Accounting (Hons) and Economics degree and holds an MBA from CEMA University, Buenos Aires. In her academic career, she also participated in several high-level Executive Programs, such as the Telecom Economic Regulation Executive Program of Di Tella University. Sonia is an honorary professor at post-graduate programs in key universities and telecommunications programs in Argentina.
Sonia is a judge of the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards.
Sonia is founding member of @ChicasTicLatam, a networking community focused in promoting women leadership in the ICT sector in Latin America.
