Investigate the design of advanced 5G transport networks and the integration with edge cloud infrastructure and services.
2019 INDUSTRY LEADING SPEAKERS
2019 KEY TOPICS
5G is driving a new network architecture. To meet the demands of multi-gigabit RANs, advanced low-latency applications, and multi-access cloud services, a next-generation "connectivity fabric" is essential. This transport infrastructure, which connects diverse network assets with service logic and content distributed across multiple cloud locations, is fundamental to success in the 5G era. Key topics to be discussed include:
Next-Gen Backhaul Expectations from 5G Networks
Fronthaul and Midhaul in Cloud RAN/vRAN Deployments
Packet Optical Metro and Core Networks
Edge Computing, and Cloud Networking
Distributed Data Centers
Solving the Latency Problem through Next-Gen Technologies
Creating Flexible & Intelligent Transport Networks
5G RAN Evolution

Overall very superb job with extremely relevant concise material and feedback. A lot of succinct material packed into a small amount of time.
Level 3 Communications
I was extremely impressed by both the content and the presenters at 5G Transport & Networking Strategies. Even more so since it's was a first-time event for Light Reading. Given the nascent nature of this area, it was very helpful to hear varying viewpoints on the technology and how it will be used.
The 5G strategies content was timely; the speakers were both informative and challenging.
