Jan Erik was appointed CMO at Telenor Maritime in October 2019, where he has spent more than 10 years, and contributed substantially to build the company to the largest onboard connectivity provider for the Cruise & Ferry industry. As CMO, his position is to oversee, develop and be responsible for all Telenor Maritime’s international sales, marketing, products and services, offerings and activities to the marine industry, worldwide. Over the last 20 years he has covered a wide range of roles in the international business environment, supplying the shipping industry with products and services. Jan Erik set out with an engineering degree in mechatronics, as well as a degree in technical export and finance, which together with his vast experience makes him highly competent in the maritime field. He clearly understands the increasing demand for new business modelling, and is capable of supporting the Industry 4.0 technology shift, by utilizing the subscription economy.
