Aissatou Diallo has more than 18 years of experience working with the International Trade Centre (ITC) and providing technical assistance support to developing countries particularly least developed countries (LDCs) in various areas such as Government procurement, market access, regional integration and trade in services. At ITC Office for Africa, she is mainly responsible for the design and coordination of trade-related technical assistance projects and programmes in the West and Central Africa and in the Indian Ocean regions. She has leaded various ITC’s projects aiming at increasing export competitiveness, creating jobs and boosting the intra and interregional trade.
Aissatou Diallo has also a concrete track record in resource mobilization for Aid for trade projects and has an extensive network among senior African officials, business champions, and civil society representatives.
Her main field of interests are the regional integration process in Africa and sustainable and inclusive development approaches in relation with the UN SDGs.
Prior to joining ITC, Aissatou Diallo contributed to work on human rights and economic development issues with the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She has also a private sector experience working with private companies in Geneva.
As a Guinean and Swiss nationals, Aissatou Diallo holds a Master’s Degree in International Law from the University of Grenoble (France) and an Advanced Degree in economics from the University of Geneva (Switzerland). She has also joined an advanced English studies programme at Mercer University in Atlanta, USA.
