Profile
Miriam is a thought leader, strategist and economist, with deep experience in economic policy research and also at the coal face of major transformation initiatives. Currently, she is the technical lead on the SA government’s National Infrastructure Plan 2050. At Altman Advisory, she supports governments and companies in their economic and commercial strategies. Miriam is a 4IR Professor of Practice at the University of Johannesburg.
She orchestrated the turnaround of Telkom (SOC) Ltd as its Chief of Strategy and was a strategic advisor to the CEO of one of India’s top EdTech software companies. Miriam was a member of the National Planning Commission (2010-2011) in the SA Presidency.
