Andrew attended the University of Cape Town and completed Industrial Psychology and Personnel Management.

During the last 2 years of university, Andrew started his first business renting cars and accommodation to international students, and from there continued in the shoes of an entrepreneur. After establishing a successful lodge network and touring company, based out of Zimbabwe, Andrew sold the company and took over 3 companies in tourism in Zambia.

In 1998, the companies were included in a stock exchange listing and Andrew returned to South Africa to start his next venture. After initiating a management buyout from a listed SA company of 2 of its businesses, Andrew develop the Travel Junction Group and after 3 years sold out to an empowerment group acquiring tourism assets.

The Old Mutual Property Group approached Andrew to develop new business concepts for its retail property group and during this period, Andrew started the first customer engagement solution in shopping malls as well as the various new business related to marketing and advertising in malls.

In 2010, Andrew co-founded 2Engage with John Shaw, focusing on unique customer engagement and marketing solutions in the retail, sporting, and financial services sectors. 2Engage was selected by the National Geographic Society in the USA to lead on the restructuring of its membership program across 42 countries, after numerous companies from around the world were interviewed. During this period, Andrew also worked closely with Mastercard USA and various European businesses on establishing and growing their customer value proposition.

Andrew strives to create and develop unique business concepts, finding ways to find efficiencies, new channels to market and approaching business hurdles with a “can do” attitude. Andrew has vast experience in business development, leadership and creating a team of exceptional people and overcoming obstacles that there might be.
