Emma Stavrakis is currently taking a year-long sabbatical to indulge her passion for tech and innovation while completing her MSc in Data Science at UCT. Emma has extensive experience in the SAP technology field in Africa, including South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
Before taking a break from corporate life in 2018, Emma was the head of EOH’s Safe Cities business unit, responsible for the product development and delivery of SAP-based Safety and Security solutions for Emergency Services, Disaster Management Services, Police & Law Enforcement, Judicial Services, Social Services and Healthcare.
Under Emma’s leadership of the EOH Safe Cities Business, her team was awarded numerous prestigious international awards, including winning the SAP Innovation Award 2017 (coming first out of 150 entries from 34 countries) and an SAP Gold Quality Award in 2016 in partnership with City of Cape Town for Project EPIC.
Prior to joining EOH, Emma co-founded the Cape Town-based EIM startup, iFuture, in 2007. iFuture specialised in Enterprise Content Management and Data Analytics solutions for SAP, Open Text and SharePoint, and was acquired by EOH in 2012.
Emma is enjoying spending time with her husband and 2 children while she furthers her studies. Emma also holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree and a Bachelor of Information Systems degree, both from Rhodes University.
