Gerard LokossouCEO at Orange DRC
With an Engineering degree in Supply Chain Management, Gerard Lokossou started his specialised training in 1996 in Côte d’Ivoire.
He spent around a decade successfully working in Supply Chain Management for multinational companies such as Unilever and Nestlé across Africa, Europe and Latin America.
In 2007, he joined the telecommunications sector, where he worked for the South African company, MTN. Here, he gained 7 years’ experience in various sales roles and was one of the people who redesigned its go-to-market strategy launched across 22 countries.
He later joined Airtel Africa as Senior Vice President and Director for Sales and Distribution, and more generally, also for the go-to-market strategy across the 27 African countries in which the Group was present at that time.
He then also accomplished the challenge of turning around Airtel Congo, following the difficulties the company experienced after its merger with Warid.
Later, in March 2018, he was appointed CEO of Orange in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
