Isabel dos Santos is an Angolan businesswoman and entrepreneur.
She started her studies in Angola and then moved to the UK where she attended St. Paul’s
Girls School in London. Isabel dos Santos graduated at King’s College London in Electrical
Engineering in 1994.
Since 2005 she has had relevant interests in Telecom, Media, Retail, Finance, Energy &
Utilities and Industry, both in Angola and Portugal.
Isabel dos Santos is a member of the board of Angola’s Banco BIC and a reference
shareholder in Banco do Fomento de Angola.
Isabel dos Santos was appointed Chairwoman of Angola's national oil company Sonangol in
June 2016 where she stayed until November 2017.
In Portugal, she is a member of the Board of Directors of NOS, a listed cable TV company,
and holds interests in the Portuguese bank EuroBIC, GALP Energia and Efacec.
She is currently the Chairwoman of UNITEL, the largest telecommunications company in
Angola, where she started working in 1998 as a project manager.

having developed various projects, including the definition and coordination of processes of
transformation and corporate restructuring. She founded and led several companies in
Angola, and in several European and African countries, promoting vocational training and
ensuring opportunities to claim the young local talent. Over the course of her career, she won
several national and international awards as well as honors and became a panelist in
Economic Forums such as SPIEF 2019, FT Africa Summit 2017, Bloomberg Global Business
Forum 2018, Global Women Leaders
