Jeremy Bouwer Chief Content Strategist at Storylab


Jeremy graduated with a B Comm from KZN before heading to JHB to do a double post grad diploma at the AAA in Brand Communication and Strategic Planning.

Jeremy started his career in Advertising at then newly formed O2 in Johannesburg, working on the launch team for iconic South African Brands; Outsurance & eTV  as well as Emirates when Dubai was just evolving.  His career in advertising led to him working on iconic brands including Savanna (for which he won a Apex Gran Prix), ABSA, Old Mutual, Avios, Unilever, Amarula and Shell. 

He served on the boards of JWT Cape Town, FCB Cape Town and Mindshare as well as serving on the Vega Advisory Council when it launched in Cape Town. 

His passion for good story telling , content and the entertainment industry led him to start The Station working with producers and broadcasters and during this time did an alliance with Dentsu Aegis Network to launch The Story Lab.

A keen traveller and art fanatic / collector (he confesses to have hidden a Dali under the bed for 9 months before telling his husband they own another one.)   Observing popular culture and how it shapes people, the way they think and behave and what influences them  drives him.   In his spare time when he is not planning his next trip or exploring galleries and exhibitions he practices Pilates and having returned back to Cape Town after 12 years in JHB – Hiking.
