Profile
As Principal Economist in GSMA Intelligence, Kalvin is responsible for delivering economic analysis across a range of GSMA programmes and initiatives. He works particularly closely with Mobile for Development (M4D), working on digital and financial inclusion topics, and also carries out research on spectrum policy, regulation and competition. Recent work includes analysing the impact of public policy reforms on the deployment of mobile infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa and assessing the impact of mobile money regulation on usage. As part of his role, Kalvin regularly works with external organisations and presents at telecoms and academic conferences. Before joining the GSMA, Kalvin worked at Ofcom and the UK Competition Commission.
