Luc FABRY is the Trade and Investment Commissioner of the Flanders Investment and Trade Agency, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Luc started his career at the auditing firm Arthur Anderson in Brussels, Belgium and moved to Atlanta, Georgia by way of the Prince Albert Fund Foundation, working as a Sales engineer at Barco, a major Belgian electronics company. After 6 years, he moved to Chicago to setup the office of Flanders Foreign Investment Office, the investment promotion agency of Flanders. He merged the office with the Export agency of Flanders creating Flanders Investment & Trade Chicago.
Besides Chicago (8 years), he consecutively worked an lived in Paris (7 years) and Singapore (6 years).
He recently moved to Johannesburg and is besides South Africa, also responsible for the neighbouring countries Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius.
He has a Master Degree in applied economics of the University of Leuven, Belgium and a Certificate in Computer Sciences of the University of Brussels.
