Matjaž Pogačnik, MBA is Director of Access Networks department. He is responsible for Fixed Access networks, Mobile Access networks, Energy + HVAC, Transmission Systems, Cable infrastructure and Service provisioning.
Mr Pogačnik has joined Telekom Slovenije d.d. in 1999, after finishing telecommunications studies at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. After working in investment department for one year, he was appointed Head of ADSL project in 2000. In 2001, he wrote a book about ADSL and measurements in ADSL network with colleagues, which was published by Telekom Slovenije. In 2006, he was appointed Head of R&D and finished MBA. In 2010, he was appointed Director of Network. In parallel to that, In Telekom Slovenije Group, he was appointed Authorised representative for Fixed access and Transmission networks in Telekom Slovenije subsidiaries in Macedonia, Kosovo, Republika Srpska and Albania. Beside organizational responsibilities, he has been leading biggest projects in Telekom Slovenije, including ADSL, Wimax and Digital Agenda Europe. He is author of several technical publications about broadband, provide presentations on most important telecommunications events in Europe and provide occasionally lectures in University of Ljubljana.
