Sebekedi Motlhabane Koloi
Head of SDG Initiatives at Startupbootcamp


Motlhabane is an innovation and tech enthusiast, having experience working with founders and start-ups from across the African continent. His major expertise is in strategy for scaling new businesses, ranging from customer acquisitions to product development and legal structuring for investments. He holds a BSc degree as well as a postgraduate degree in intellectual property law.

He has been working at Startupbootcamp AfriTech for over two years, devising lean strategies for maximizing its footprint on the African continent. He has been invited several times to The United Nations as a youth delegate as well as a propeller of the African start-up ecosystem and an accelerator for the Sustainable Development Goals. He has run various projects in collaboration with various organizations and corporates to advance the start-up ecosystem, SDGs and to further create an open innovation ecosystem based on start-up - corporate (organizations) collaborations.

In addition to the above Koloi has been recognised as a Global Goalkeeper by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest philanthropic foundation in the world. He also sits on various forums advising governments on accelerating innovation.
