Mr. Shakespeare Sibusiso Hadebe has been appointed as the Transnet Executive Manager: Programme Management Office (PMO) effective from the 1 November 2017, with the chief responsibility of the delivering enterprise wide programmes and projects and enabling project change management processes.

He is responsible for translating Transnet SOC Ltd strategy into executable prioritised ICT programmes/ projects and to manage these as an integrated portfolio.

Shakespeare Hadebe joined Transnet Freight Rail in 1999 (formally known as Spoornet) as an Engineering Technician and in 2008 he joined Transnet Group Capital ( formally known as Transnet Capital Projects) and has successfully worked in various roles in the field of Operations, Engineering and Project Management Development and Execution and held a position of the Project Director in the office of the Group Capital Officer before joining Group ICT PMO.

He has more than 18 years’ experience in Project Management, Engineering, Planning and Operations Environment and has acquired extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this areas. He has manage and led key Mega and Major Infrastructure Programmes and Projects amongst others including the New Multi Product Pipeline(NMPP); Swazi Rail Project and Richards bay Ports Projects and the Transnet Network Commercialisation Initiative and Transnet Wide Area Network (WAN) , to mention but a few.

Shakespeare holds a B-Tech Degree from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and a Management Advancement Programme (MAP) from Wits Business School and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2006 and Prince 2 Practitioner. He recently completed his Executive Leadership Development Programme with GIBS.
