A calculated decision maker with deep tech industry knowledge, Theven has championed Infrastructure and Systems services to his enterprise and added great value to business by aligning IT and business to form a common view. His adaptive approach and strategies have encouraged partners and stakeholders to embrace technology and achieve amazing results within their areas of business. 

Recognized for designing and implementing world class enterprise IT environments throughout his 18-year journey within the Enterprise IT arena, Theven has built a reputation for developing IT strategies, supporting new business models, and building solid foundations with a clear vision into the digital age.

Theven holds various IT qualifications and has many years of prized experience in the IT technology arenas, spanning from his humble beginnings in the engineer and design space, to senior management. Working with some of the big names in the Africa IT industry forming relationships and alliances to support a common goal, adding value through technology.

Theven Naicker was the Head of Infrastructure and Operations at Scania Southern Africa since 1 August 2013 and since moved to Group Head of Information Technology. Theven provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the Scania Southern Africa networks. 

The primary responsibilities for his office encompass a wide variety of strategic IT technology: governance and policy, resource allocation, information technology protocols, and IT Technology structure. 

Under Theven's leadership, his division provides support for research and technology, delivery of IT enterprise services, information security systems and compliance, administrative systems, as well as business IT support services. 

Theven has refreshed Scania Southern Africa's IT posture moving the Southern Africa region of Scania into an innovative and technology driven environment, he has delivered many successful projects, aligning business needs with current technology that have directly improved service delivery and drastically saved costs within the Scania Southern Africa business.


Theven represents Scania Southern Africa's information technology interests by serving on the IT council board regional and national organizations including the Scania Global Information Technology group.
