An entrepreneur, eternal optimist and a globe trotter. Irfan started his journey after graduating from the London School of Economics back in 2004. Coming from humble beginnings he worked his way through university doing odd jobs - from selling electricity and insurance to selling cars and mobiles, and most notably at Starbucks as a full-time waiter.
Irfan started a few businesses after returning to Pakistan but came into the limelight when he aggressively grew his financial technology business ACM Gold that he started in Karachi as a two person band, to a business employing more than 1,300 people in 11 countries in 7 years. He sold some of the business units in Eastern Europe and Far East Asia valuing the group at $400M and moved the HQ to Johannesburg. He resigned as CEO in July 2015 and still remains on the board as Chairman.
