Magda is a technical leader with a passion for using data and AI to accelerate biopharmaceutical R&D. She has experience in data science for all stages of drug and vaccine discovery and development: from writing neural nets to leading diverse project teams, including in Big Pharma, AI startup, and academic environments. She leads innovative data science projects that bring together computational and experimental scientists to deliver maximum impact.
She currently works as Lead AI/ML Scientist at GSK, leading the development of AI tools for improving RNA vaccine design. Prior to GSK, she worked at a London-based artificial intelligence unicorn, Benevolent AI. Her PhD thesis at University College London focused on predicting drug side effects and using human genetics data for the selection of safe and effective drug targets.
