As Senior Consultant and Partner at Finor, Dr. Filomena designs algorithms for financial institutions. He also serves as Associate Professor of Operations Research and Finance at the Business School of Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. Tiago holds a Ph.D. in Engineering with a focus on Operations Research from George Washington University in Washington DC (2010). He has received financial backing for his studies, from the main funding agencies being the USA (Fullbright), Brazil (Capes, CNPQ), and the European Union (Fraunhofer). His research is focused on operations research and finance with publications in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, and Operations Research Letters.
