Guus Dekkers

Chief Technology Officer at Tesco PLC

Guus has been Chief Technology Officer of Tesco since 2018, where he is responsible for all consumer-facing and enterprise technologies and related services, spanning stores, online, supply chain and digital. He leads a substantial team of engineers, product specialists, and data and digital experts in building and operating all of Tesco’s technology-driven platforms and services worldwide. He is passionate about driving technological change and excellence.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Guus left Holland over 25 years ago after completing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and MBA. Since then he has lived and worked in Germany, Mexico, France and the UK, employed by major international companies including Volkswagen, Siemens, Continental, Airbus, Johnson Controls and now Tesco. Guus has extensive multicultural experience of driving large-scale technology transformations across a range of industry sectors in both CIO and CTO roles.

Guus lives with his wife in London and enjoys skiing, sailing and cycling.
