Profile
Inken joined Halma plc, a FTSE 100 global group of life-saving technology companies, in July 2017. She is Halma’s first Chief Innovation and Digital Officer, a role that is pivotal in helping to foster a group-wide innovation culture and growth. Inken and her team are working with Halma’s 45 companies to drive innovation, accelerate the development of digital services, and realise our purpose of growing a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.
During her career at Halma she has chaired two Halma companies, Volk Optical and Bio-Chem Fluidics, ran Halma’s first Convergence Accelerator and other programs which have resulted in a number of “spin-ins”, and established a network of Innovation Champions driving new approaches to agile product development throughout the Group. She also established Halma’s first venture investment arm to support strategic partnerships with start- and scale-ups.
Prior to joining Halma, Inken was the Chief Innovation Officer of innogy SE, a renewable energy company based in Germany and subsidiary of RWE. Previously, Inken was MD of RWE’s Strategy and Management Consultancy practice. Inken studied Business Administration and Innovation & Technology Management at Kiel University and has a PhD in Technology Management.
