Sean Batir is driven by a mission to augment humanity's physical and cognitive limitations, by creating transformative technologies that redefine the human experience. He believes that innovation occurs through interdisciplinary dialogue between academia, the private, and the public sector.

Sean Batir’s professional experience lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software engineering, and biotechnology, with over a decade of experience working with neural systems. Sean is currently a Principal of AI & Data Strategy, within the Department of Defense, having previously worked at BMW's Silicon Valley Innovation Office. His work currently focuses on the interdisciplinary crossroads of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and enhancing human decision making.

Sean is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College of London, University of Oxford's Said Business School, and Columbia University, having studied and contributed to fundamental research in brain and cognitive sciences, bioengineering, and theoretical neuroscience.

In his spare time, Sean advises companies on how to develop and execute an artificial intelligence strategy. He is also the author of over a dozen combined patents and publications, ranging from electric vehicle, smart-energy grid management and hybrid Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network validation, to potential treatments for Parkinson's disease and biometric, modular women's jewelry.
