Smart Taipei
Profile
The “Taipei Smart City Project Management Office”(PMO), established by Department of Information Technology, Taipei City Government of Taiwan, aims to develop and govern the smart Taipei. The objective of the PMO is to promote public participation and public-private partnership to create innovative solutions. By taking “Government as a Platform, City as a Living Lab”, we encourage both top-down and bottom-up approaches for Proof of Concept (PoC) projects.
Beginning this year, under the concept of "Problem setting by the government, problem solving by the industry", Taipei City Government formulates 1+7 domains based on the needs required. Introducing "Smart government" as the core, covering "smart building", "smart transportation", "smart education", "smart healthcare", "smart security", "smart environment", and "smart economy”, the 1+7 steering groups were then established to accelerate Taipei's Smart City development.
