David joined IBM at the end of 2010 as the Global Industry Leader, Banking, Global Business Service. Leveraging his years of banking experience working for MBNA and then Bank of America as a P&L owner of the credit card and savings businesses he was asked by the head of the retail bank to lead the data and analytics transformation to drive business value for the bank as its first Chief Data Officer. Previously, at IBM David was the Global Industry Leader, Financial Services Data, Analytics and Cognitive Industry Platforms he focuses on helping banks and insurance companies around the world transform their enterprises through the use of data, analytics, and cognitive. David spends much of his time traveling to FSS clients around the world to help them drive these transformations. David has worked with many companies to complete these data led enterprise transformations including Bank of America, Westpac, MetLife, ANZ, QBE, SunTrust Bank, JPMC, ITAU, US Bank, DBS, and many others. David led the IBM North American Data, Analytics, and Cognitive Practice for our Financial Services clients that include banks, Insurance companies, and financial markets institutions. David was responsible for a practice or more than 165 Practitioners and is a thought leader in this space. Now David leads the Financial Services Sector for NA and is responsible for the P&L, over 800 practitioners, and the offerings to the clients. He is also a member of IBM’s Industry Academy.
