Augmented Reality Project Manager at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development
Julio Medina currently lives near Los Angeles, California and is a recent graduate from Harvey Mudd College with a degree in Computer Science. He has worked with Virtual Reality as a Research Associate at the University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technology’s Mixed Reality Lab, and with Augmented Reality as the Project Manager of a clinic project sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, North America. His expertise lies in the very early stage of prototyping new use cases for AR and VR, which often involves discovering limitations of the technologies and finding ways to circumvent those limitations or create systems that supplement the functionality of the devices themselves. Throughout his career he has gotten the opportunity to work with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets, and the Microsoft Hololens and Meta 2 AR headsets, as well as many supplemental devices such as the Microsoft Kinect and Playstation Move system.
