System Engineer at Deutsche Telekom
Bjoern Nagel is a system engineer at DT. He is responsible for most of the PON based transmission system topics within DTs optical access engineering division, including the Access 4.0 program. The optical access part in the Access 4.0 program encompasses bare metal OLTs, hardware integration using vOLT-HA and virtualized functions for e.g. OMCI, DBA and more.
Beside this new approach Bjoern is deeply engaged in all legacy PON systems for DTs FTTH deployment. This includes elaborating specifications, work in standardization bodies (e.g. BBF) and qualifying vendor solutions.
Bjoern works for DT since 2001 in various engineering related access topics and is graduated from University of Applied Sciences in Leipzig.
