Tony ZengStandard Director of Home Network, Transmission & Access Network at Huawei
After graduation as a PhD student from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), Tony Zeng engages in standard development SDOs over 6 years, representing Huawei. He is now the standard director of home network in Huawei Transmission & Access Network, leading a home network standard group of Huawei for standard development of ITU-T SG15 Q18, IEEE 802.11, ETSI TC BRAN/ISG F5G, BBF PHYtx/BUS, CCSA TC6/TC5/TC11.
He Participates ITU SG15 standard work from 2014, mainly contributing in G.hn/G.hn2 (Wireline high speed communication) and its applications, G.iot (iot over power line communication), G.uvs (video over G.hn), G.fin (Fiber-to-the-room), etc. in Question 18 (Q18). He is in charge of the editing works for multiple standards mentioned above.
He established In-premised Wi-Fi project stream (PS) as a joint PS of PHYtx and BUS WA in Broadband Forum in 2017. As the PS chair, he led multiple Wi-Fi related projects, including WT-398 Wi-Fi performance testing, SD-401 Wi-Fi topologies and management, SD-410 video support, WT-434 Video support over Wi-Fi. Before that, he is contributing interoperability, functional and performance testing standard for DSL in PHYtx WA of BBF.
He has experience on standardizing home appliance modeling in OneM2M, edge computing in ISO/IEC SC 41 as the convener of study group 10, 802.11be in IEEE, and home network standard development in CCSA.
