Deepak Kakadia PhD, is a Network Data Scientist / Network Architect at Google Fiber, an GPON/Optical Internet Service Provider Company since 2015. He was at Verizon Labs, Verizon and Verizon Wireless as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff(DMTS) IP Network Architect from 2005 to 2015. He was a staff engineer and network architect at Sun Microsystems, Inc., in Menlo Park, California from 1994 to 2005. He worked previously at Corona Networks as principal engineer in the Network Management Systems group; at Digital Equipment Corp., where he worked on DEC OSF/1; and at Nortel Networks (Bell Northern Research) in Ottawa, Canada. He received a B.E. in computer systems, an M.S. in computer science, and Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Machine Learning and Networking. He has 85 patents in the area of network and systems management, author of 2 technical books in Networking and Network Analytics and several peer reviewed technical journal publications.
