G. S. Sickand is focusing on the regional, Industry and society customer segment for Ericsson. He is in charge of creating innovative solutions that include TV/Media, OSS/BSS, optical and ICT that are aligned with resolving customer pain points. He has previously been involved with developing a device ecosystem for LTE for Ericsson’s regional customers, developing strategies for 2G/3G to LTE migration, small cell architecture and deployments. He actively works with customers to align their business priorities and network evolution strategies. He joined Ericsson in 2009 as part of the Nortel acquisition. In his telecom career, Sickand has held several positions in Engineering (R&D), Product Management, Business Development and Solution Architecture. He has been involved with wireline, optical, wireless, OA&M, TVM and IMS network architecture and deployments. GS is an industry thought leader in the area of communications and operations and has spoken at numerous Wireless and Utility events such as CCA, NTCA, RWA. Distributech, UTC and many others on topics such as 4G/LTE Technology, Telecom solutions. IMS and converged solutions.
