Mark RewersDirector of IT at American Dream Meadowlands
Mark Rewers is a native of Buffalo, and currently resides in Western New York. Mr. Rewers majored in Business Management with a minor in Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
In 1992 he co-founded BN Systems, Inc. which grew into a successful multimillion dollar integration firm. Mark was the Vice President of Development when BN Systems Inc. became part of the AT&T team in 2004. He has just finished in the position of Director of IT at the American Dream Retail Complex in NJ where He oversaw over 90+ systems and 120 different software programs integrated simultaneously for a successful opening in March of 2020. These included 5 separate wireless systems and the first retail OnGo system in North America as well as the launch of the first Western Hemisphere installation of XRAN for 5G connectivity.
Mr. Rewers has thirty five years of experience in the communications industry as a Federal, New York State, and Fortune 1000 consultant, System Designer, and Engineer. His knowledge and certification runs from 1A2 Key Systems to Digital PBXs, structured cabling, Fiber Optics, Security systems, Wireless design, Distributed Antenna Systems as well as Central Office facilities services and computer networking architectures. He is a past member of the National Council on Security and Surveillance.
Mr. Rewers holds multiple professional designations including BICSI (RCDD for 20 years), IEEE, CWNP, FOA, and the US Government.
Mr. Rewers has completed several data communication programs from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and has been certified for design and installation by multiple manufacturers (Cisco, Avaya, Panasonic, Nortel. Corning, Sumitomo, TE, Commscope, JMA, and more) Mr. Rewers was the holder of three patents as well as the designer and builder of over twenty commercial, specialty communication devices.
He is very active in the community and is a 1991 graduate of Leadership Buffalo. He is a past board member of the Erie County Commission on Homelessness, The Clarkson Center, Erie County Mental Health Alliance, The United Way, Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Boy’s and Girl’s Clubs of Western New York. Currently he writes for several industry and financial columns on trends and emerging technologies in Wireless and the communications sector.
