Profile
Nivi has over 20-years of wireless telecommunications experience leading various projects in R&D and Systems Engineering. At Samsung, Nivi is in the Networks division, and responsible for the introduction of Samsung products into commercial networks, including 5G/4G Macro, Micro and Small Cells technologies. He is currently working on network migrations and the evolution of customer networks to advanced 5G and 4G Samsung products. He is also responsible for seamless operation of various layered technologies such as 5G mmWave, 5G Sub 6GHz, 5G Sub 2GHz on top of 4G LTE networks. Nivi also delivered the first commercial Virtualized 5G RAN solution. Previously, he was responsible for technology evaluation of mmWave spectrum for 5G networks. Prior to these achievements, Nivi filed several key technical patents to provide solutions for critical RF/Wireless challenges faced to commercialize Small Cells technologies. This work led to the commercial launch of World’s first femtocell by Samsung Electronics.
Nivi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Honors from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas, Dallas.
