Siraj Nour ElAhmadiPresident & GM at Menara Networks – an IPG Photonics Company
Siraj Nour ElAhmadi has over 20 years of experience in the telecom industry and is the founding CEO of Menara Networks, an IP/Ethernet optical transport systems specialist and winner of Lightreading 2008 Leading Lights award “Private Company of the Year”. In 2016, Menara Networks became a wholly owned subsidiary of IPG Photonics- the world leader in high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers- with Siraj as its President and General Manager. Leveraging proprietary purpose-built high speed mixed-signal Integrated Circuits and innovative RF/Systems designs, Menara Networks has pioneered the industry’s first DWDM “system-in-module” pluggable products that greatly simplifies optical transport networks resulting in superior performance and substantially lower TCO. Prior to founding Menara, Siraj served as VP, PLM – Ultra Long Haul at Nortel/Qtera where he oversaw the introduction of the industry’s first Ultra Long Haul 10 Gbps DWDM system that eliminated OEO regeneration from the network. Prior to Qtera, Siraj has held a number of R&D roles at Nortel and Bell Northern Research, after working as an optical transmission engineer at Wiltel. He is the inventor of more than 30 patents, in the area of optical communications.
