Pratompong SrinuanDirector of Telecom Market Affair at National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission
Pratompong Srinuan received Ph.D. in technology management and Economics from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He also held bachelor and master degree in Economics. He now serves as a division director at department of telecom policy and resource management of the office of the national broadcasting and telecommunications commission (NBTC) in Thailand. His main responsibilities focus on ex-ante regulations in telecom service industry such as defining telecom market definition, designating a significant market power player, approving merger and acquisition submissions, and monitoring the level of competition in Thai telecom markets. He has experience in various issues at the telecom regulator. His recent experience includes designing spectrum auctions and spectrum valuation for 1800 MHz and 900MHz where organized in 2015 and 2018, drafting and implementing the notification on telecom administrative fines, drafting telecom master plan 2017 – 2020, and drafting notification on spectrum refarming. He currently works on various projects with international experts i.e. 5G auction design and spectrum valuation, 700 MHz valuation, and International connectivity project.
