Bob FerreiraGM, Strategy, Planning, and Technology Office at Intel
Bob is a General Manager in Intel’s Connected Home Division where he is responsible for strategy, technology incubation, product planning, standards, and ecosystem development. He led Intel’s Cable business unit from its inception in 2008 and architected the successful acquisition and integration of Texas Instruments Cable Modem business in 2010. Bob has more than 30 years of experience in the wireless and wireline communications industry building strong strategic partnerships, driving industry transformation, and delivering leadership products. Bob also serves on the Board of Directors for the Prpl Foundation where he is passionate about incubating open source projects that can positively accelerate industry transformation.
Bob has held various executive leadership positions at Intel, spanning business line management, marketing, and engineering. Prior to joining Intel in 2005, Bob has worked for Zarlink Semiconductor, National Semiconductor, GTE Systems, and MITRE.
Bob has a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Communications & Signal Processing Theory from Northeastern University.
