Mor Cohen-Tal joined Turbonomic, the leader in workload automation for hybrid cloud, in 2010 and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer of Cloud. In this role, Cohen is responsible for advancing the Company’s cloud strategy and cloud product development. She also plays a central role in supporting Turbonomic’s business development efforts with the leading cloud platform providers, AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Cohen’s primary goal is making customers successful in their adoption of cloud and ensuring they achieve true elasticity while only paying for what they use – and need. Cohen is a trusted advisor in guiding and helping customers architect their public cloud strategy, and once in the cloud, optimizing and maximizing the environment. She had an integral role in the inception, development and availability of Turbonomic’s cloud capabilities, earning her seven patents.
Cohen specializes in cloud planning, assessment, migration and optimization. She frequently authors blogs and industry articles covering a variety of cloud-centric topics and the rapidly accelerating IT complexity created by Hybrid Cloud, which is beyond human scale. Cohen is a frequent speaker at cloud industry events, such as AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Ignite, and others.
Prior to Turbonomic, Cohen led software engineering and quality assurance analyst as several Israel-based startups, one of which she co-founded. Cohen also led a team during her role as a Technological Intelligence Analyst in the IDF.
Cohen is a champion for women in technology. She is part of Women to Women, an entrepreneurship mentoring program for IDF intelligence corps alum, and she also mentors female students from Cornell Tech during their CS MEng program.
Cohen holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Cornell University and is based in New York.
