David IzikowitzCo-founder at Carbon Infinity
I co-founded my first company – an EdTech social business based in Myanmar – while studying at the University of Hong Kong in 2015. I have a cross-disciplinary academic background with a BSc in Accounting and Finance and an MEng in Environmental Engineering from Warwick Business School and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively, and have previously been engaged in an advisory capacity by both government agencies and some of the biggest start-ups in China.
After exiting my first business in 2018, I turned my attention to tackling what I believe is the biggest challenge facing my generation – climate change. In 2019 I founded Carbon Infinity, a company developing Direct Air Capture technology, capturing carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere as a carbon dioxide removal solution, or for utilisation to facilitate the de-fossilisation of hard or impossible to decarbonise sectors.
Currently based in London and Shanghai, I am an avid adventurer having travelled to over 50 countries - overland where possible, with ultimate ambitions to scale the ‘seven summits’, while leaving a lasting positive legacy through my work over the coming decades with Carbon Infinity.
