As Founder and CEO of Cervest, Iggy Bassi is on a mission to place climate at the heart of all business and financial decision-making. He founded Cervest in 2015 and spearheads the development of the world's first AI-powered Climate Intelligence platform, helping organisations quantify physical and transitional climate risks at an asset scale.
Iggy has a 20-year track record of building start-ups and advising global organizations (inc. Fortune 500 and sovereigns) on competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability.
An advocate for climate-smart innovations, his first impact-led agribusiness, GADCO, was supported by Acumen Fund, Soros, BMGF/AGRA, World Bank, and Syngenta. Its impact has been featured in UNDP, World Economic Forum, FT, Guardian and Huffington Post.
A thought leader in climate risk, AI, and analytics, Iggy has spoken at forums including UN-FAO, World Bank, ICRD, Cambridge University, Harvard, and the UK Government. His earlier career included investment banking, strategy consulting, and analytics software. He holds a master’s from the University of Cambridge (ESRC Scholar) and is a member of BMW Responsible Leaders.
