Mr. AlHilu shared with us a few very important insights in the lead up to the event, on the topic of cloud in retail, his specific presentation topic and the event:
What are you most looking forward to with regards to speaking and attending the Cloud MENA event in Dubai?
I am looking to attend one of the most important and strategic event in the MENA region, especially talking about a very attractive subject this year “the importance of cloud and digital transformation in the MENA region”.
How important is Cloud in enabling the growth and adoption of new technologies in the retail sector?
Consumers started to prefer Omnichannel approach that provides them seamless shopping experience whether the customer is shopping online from a desktop, mobile, or in a bricks and mortar store. The retail future is e-commerce, classical stores will be disappeared by time, those who will not get ready and have strong on line platform they will definitely lose market share and might shutdown their business.
You will be speaking at the event about ERP Cloud vs. On Premise - Could you give us a little bit of insight into what we can expect to find out during your presentation?
This is a very important and critical subject that many people confused with as when they wanted to take a decision for their strategic ERP system. I will try to explain it in an easy way as to help people understand it and explain to them how to use the TCO tool to estimate the cost of in premise vs. cloud based, and how cloud helps organizations drive innovation and business transformation by increasing agility and reducing IT complexity.
What are your views on Cloud native and its importance in retail?
Being cloud-native is more than just moving some of your workload to a public cloud vendor. It involves a completely different approach to infrastructure, application development, and team structure. Cloud-native is a way of approaching the development and deployment of applications in such a way that takes account of the characteristics and nature of the cloud - resulting in processes and workflows that fully take advantage of the platform.
