Hugh ChambersCEO at MSA (UK Motorsports Association)
From November 2018, Hugh takes over as CEO for the MSA (UK Motorsports Association) with responsibility for all aspects of four-wheel motorsport in the UK. The community includes 30,000 license holders and 15,000 officials and volunteers. Events include the British Grand Prix and the GB round of the World Rally Championship.
Previously, Hugh was Chief Commercial Officer of World Sailing, with responsibility for all aspects of commercial activities, as well as marketing, communications and IT. Prior to this he was the Commercial Director of Team Sky, and from 2008 to 2013 Hugh was CCO of the British Olympic Association; establishing Team GB as the greatest sports brand of the nation – creating “Our Greatest Team: 600 athletes - 60 million strong”.
From 2001 Hugh was Commercial Director of the BAR Honda F1 team, until the sale of the team to Honda in 2005. For ten years Hugh was the co-owner of Prodrive, the largest independent global motorsport organisation – a £125m turnover business with 1200 staff worldwide (Subaru WRC, Aston Martin Racing, Ferrari Le Mans, Honda/Ford/Alfa BTCC).
Previously, Hugh worked for global advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Y&R and Hill & Knowlton. During this period he lived in London, Paris and New York working on major global clients.
