Jack KolarVice President, Mission Critical Products at TAS
Jack’s career started in large scale chilling and refrigeration systems, including work at manufacturers Carrier and Trane. He then designed and built cold-storage facilities, and executed design-build of mechanical systems, including pre-fabricated process refrigeration systems. Before focusing on cooling in the data center industry, he developed cooling equipment for ground support of aircraft, both commercial and military.
For over a decade, he has concentrated on developing highly efficient systems for very large-scale data centers, with hundreds of megawatts of equipment delivered. Most recently, he has developed specialized methods and equipment for immersion cooling of high-density data equipment in a two-phase fluid, with patents applied for.
Jack studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri - Rolla. He earned the PMP certification from PMI in 2012, and he was issued the eighth HVAC contracting license ever issued by the State of Texas. He served as president of the Houston chapter of ASHRAE in 1994.
