I have over 10 years of experience in strategy creation & execution, strategic communications management, consumer & business/enterprise marketing experience, developing and implementing profitable customer value propositions to the market to drive sales and revenue whilst building long lasting relationships with customers. I am driven by the mission to contribute to the achievement of sustainable national development through developing and implementing business-driven, citizen-focused, communications strategies; building and motivating teams, managing effective partnerships and stakeholder relations.
At the helm of the Government of Uganda’s digitalization drive, I led the development and implementation of an Integrated Marketing & Communication strategy at the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U). This facilitated the successful implementation of the USD.85million World Bank funded Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (RCIP) and NITA-U initiatives namely; eGovernment Services, ICT Infrastructure Services, Information Security Services, Legal & Regulatory Services, Research & Planning and Advisory Services.
Additionally, I led NITA-U’s efforts to build strategic relationships with Ministries, Departments & Agencies, parliamentarians, development partners, technology partners, financial sector, civil society and other key partners in support of NITA-U’s vision to have Lives transformed through e-services delivery.
At MTN, I developed strategies and shaped execution of key group wide programmes that notably contributed to the MTN Group vision to lead the delivery of a bold, new digital world to customers - underpinned by the belief that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life. During my work tenure there, a key primary area of focus was ‘connecting the unconnected’ across the MTN Footprint in Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Zambia, Eswatini and Kenya, working to break down barriers to connectivity for all people, and significantly increase digital inclusion. This included working with global corporate leaders and development organizations in addition to the internal experts that work in Africa’s biggest brand.
Currently, I am a Consultant and my area of expertise is Marketing & Communications and Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs).
