Tobi LafinhanCo-Founder at Venture for Africa
Tobi is a civil engineer who caught the tech and entrepreneurship bug and is currently the Co-founder of Venture for Africa.
He took the first of many leaps by moving away from home and joining a tech startup in Nigeria's economic centre, Lagos. This kicked-off a four-year journey that led on to him becoming the Head of Recruitment at an international non-profit investing in aspiring African software entrepreneurs. There, Tobi led and managed recruitment processes and funnels across 5 key African markets, recruiting founders across 18 companies backed by over $1.8 million in seed funding.
His most recent leap has been to pursue his passion for finding and recruiting talent by co-founding a startup called Venture for Africa - with a mission to bridge talent gaps for Africa's fastest-growing tech startups.
He writes about workplace tips, tricks and, other productivity hacks on medium and co-hosts a podcast focused on conversations with other 20-something-year-olds about life, the world and everything in between.
