Ryokichi is a Principal Architect and Group Leader at Toyota InfoTechnology Center in Tokyo, Japan. His engineering career of 17 years has spanned various projects that include designing inter-vehicular communication model for cooperative adaptive cruise control (C-ACC). His current interest lies in network and computing infrastructure geared for emerging services using automotive big data such as high definition map creation/delivery and intelligent driving (machine learning). He earned his Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo and had four years of on-site collaboration experience at Telcordia Technologies, formerly known as Bell Communications Research. He has been awarded 18 patents by the U.S. Patent Office. He is a Chairperson of Use-case Development Working Group at Automotive Edge Computing Consortium.
