WHAT IS THE F FACTOR?
The F Factor is a UK-wide startup competition underpinned with active entrepreneurship education for under 25 year old to harness cutting-edge innovation and shape them into solutions for the World’s most pressing problems.
The F Factor provides young aspiring entrepreneurs with tools, skills-training and context to bring their ideas to life and gives the opportunities to collaborate with like-minded peers and to work experience.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible you must be based in the UK and be aged between 18 and 25 by the time the competition starts and until the National Final.
Startup Eligibility
- You have to be a “future founder”. This means you can run an existing startup as long as you are not running it full-time. We consider part-time founder anyone who in addition to running their startup is:
- Enrolled in University
- Employed in a full-time job
- Doing another activity besides their startup to earn money

Submission Form
Once you have passed the eligibility form, you will be sent the form to submit your idea, prototype and video pitch.

IDEA
Find a problem and frame your idea
You are interested in starting a startup but not sure about what you want to build? You have startup ideas but not sure how to explain them? This milestone will help you to choose the right problem to solve and to explain it in a simple way.
PROTOTYPE
Bring your idea to life by building your prototype
Now that you have a solid idea, it is time to build a more advanced version of your Prototype. At this stage, we still don’t require a fully functional Prototype, there are several tools that can allow you to build a seemingly working prototype and this milestone will show you how.
VIDEO
Present your idea in your final pitch video
You now have a clear idea and have built the final version of your product. You now need to be able to present it properly. What we want to understand here is the problem that your product solves, what is the journey that led you to the latest version of your prototype and why this particular idea and product can turn into a company in which brings real value to the end users and can have a great impact.
