Colleen Josephson received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2020, where she was advised by Sachin Katti and Keith Winstein. She previously attended MIT for her undergraduate studies, and worked at Cisco Meraki as a wireless firmware engineer from 2014-2016. Her research involves collaboration with players like Microsoft, focusing on wireless communications and sensing systems, especially how we can use sensor networks to improve sustainability. Her awards and honors include being named a 2020 Rising Star in EECS, being a finalist in the 2019 MIT Bay Area Research Slam, and receiving the Stanford Graduate, Schlumberger Innovation and D.E. Shaw Exploration fellowships.
