Who we are

EQL:HER, previously known as accelerateHER, is a global network and event series which exists to re-balance gender in the technology sector to secure women an inclusive future across all businesses.

We do this by bringing the world’s most inspirational founders, global leaders, senior investors and disruptive rising stars together around extraordinary opportunities to learn, connect and be inspired. We focus on real actionable change. And we champion those who are trailblazers in promoting gender equality and overturning tired stereotypes.

We will continue to make the connections underrepresented founders need to succeed. And we will continue to lead the way through the creation of world-class content whilst sparking new connections.

What's at stake?

Despite decades of progress towards gender equality, women - especially women leaders, remain critically underrepresented in the tech sector globally.

Underrepresentation

Women make up LESS THAN ONE-THIRD of the workforce at leading tech firms and ONLY 12% of the industry’s leaders.

Funding disparity

In 2019, 83% of deals made by UK VCs, equivalent to 89% by value (around £5bn), had no women on the founding teams. For every £1 of VC investment in the UK, ALL-WOMEN FOUNDER TEAMS GET LESS THAN 1P.

Promotion and financial compensation

McKinsey’s 2020 Women in the Workplace report shows that for every 100 MEN PROMOTED TO MANAGER, ONLY 58 BLACK WOMEN WERE PROMOTED. The gap in financial performance could be as much as 15% for companies that have less gender diversity in. comparison to their high-performing peers
