Busisiwe Khaba

Busisiwe is the Regional Head of Public Policy with expertise in Economic Policy and Regulation, in charge of Africa, Middle East & Turkey at Amazon Web Services (AWS). She is responsible for the management of AWS’s public policy strategy, regulatory requirements, engagements with senior regulatory stakeholders, local & international organisations and governments in Africa, Middle East and Turkey. Busisiwe also serves on an advisory panel at the Presidency of South Africa on the Blue Economy: Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) think tank.

Busisiwe has a deep background and wealth of professional experience in External & Regulatory Affairs, Public Policy, Government and International Relations spanning over 15 years in various organisations.

Busisiwe holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and has successfully completed two executive management programmes with The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on Global Political Economy, Business, International Relations and Regulation Theory and Public Policy respectively. She has also completed an executive management programme on Global Digital Transformation with the University of Pretoria.
